Hey, y’all!

I think we are all beautiful broken messes, most of us stitched together with good intentions.  That feels pretty accurate for myself and all my friends.  Never perfect.  Constantly making mistakes and eventually learning from them.  It’s what makes us beautifully imperfect or imperfectly beautiful.

I’m a Florida native that adores the perfect blend of tropical and sweet tea southern that makes this place bliss for me.  We very gratefully live in a sweet spot with a lake in the back and a pond in the front.  We have a hot mess of a yard that is ready for a makeover.  We live in a perfectly imperfect 30+ year old house with a newer addition that is ready for its very overdue makeover.  Two teen daughters that have no need for a makeover because they are blissfully ideal already.  Great young women.  Wonderful students. High personal standards.  Actors. Dancers. Tennis players. Kind friends.  Generous and thoughtful.  Philanthropists.  You get it.  They’re all kinds of awesome, but I’ll stop there.  Homeschooling may have helped them get those wonderful attributes, but frankly, they may have just been made that way.

Our dog.  Oh, little Miss Posy Belle.  She is sweeter than Aunt Mabel’s sweet tea.  She’s a pile of loving fluff with just enough mischief to keep us on our toes and rolling with laughter.  She doesn’t know it, but she’s waiting on a little sister fluff ball.

My husband, Kyle, is the most kind & generous man I could ever have imagined.  Moreso, actually.  He brings me coffee and creamer on a silver tray every single morning.  Seriously! His daddy skills with our two daughters astound me.  He was born to be a dad, it seems. How did I I ever catch this handsome fella?  I have no clue.  I am perpetually smitten and grateful.

Here is our journey of home improvements, landscaping efforts, travel, and family adventures.  Enjoy the ride!
